A slightly earlier start to Monday saw the group exchanging their money into Leones. We all felt like millionaires with our piles of cash each worth 250000 each, that was until Mr Meally emerged with a sackful rumoured to be worth 2.9 million!
Next we were off to the Ballanta where the musicians gave their first lessons of the week. Axl was in an open air basement, and Josh gave a bass lesson to 15 people with only 1 guitar! The other half of the group went to St. Joseph's, which is partnered with St. Joseph's & St. Theresa's primary school in Wells, to introduce themselves. After an hour the group then headed off to JT Reffel's to perform an outreach concert for the children which included 'Singing in the Rain' & 'Teddy Bear's Picnic' performed by the a-cappella group, '5 years time' performed by Mercedes and an Adele duet performed by Axl & Josh.
After another session in the pool where Axl honed his butterfly technique on only his 2nd day swimming to beat his teacher, Issy, on a technicality. Next up was a 5km walk which Mr Meally had arranged for us. It was a bit of a reality check for all as we went through backstreets filled with litter and stray dogs. Another good day was had by all.
