Sierra Leone 2024: Day 2 Cultural Village and finding our feet

We started off the day by heading off to Balanta to have a look at the music school. We had to wait for a bit for our dollars to get exchanged to leones, but it was all worth it when we scranned some jollof rice at the end. We headed back to the hotel but first had some fun encounters with the locals whilst picking up all of our water. We got back and went to the culture village to watch an incredible music and dance performance. We then got to witness Ms Deans hit some brilliant moves, and George hit some shocking ones. Everyone then got to join in and we all got humbled by their dancing. Sean got nervous. We then walked back and had a swim in some questionably murky water. We got ready for dinner and headed to Papaya to enjoy some more jollof rice and a mix of barracuda or chicken. Or snapper if you’re Monty. We ended the day by getting back to the hotel and had a big game of cards followed by finding a random wedding to watch. And made friends with the security guards.
